About Custom Fit Earplugs
Custom Fit Earplugs is a local business run by Darren from his home-based clinic in Gymea, Sydney.
He offers certified, custom-moulded earplugs for adults and children aged 5 and up. Each pair is made on the spot using medical-grade, hypoallergenic silicone and is shaped perfectly to your ears.
A Personal Start
Darren started the business in 2017 in Peterborough, U.K., after buying a set of custom earplugs for sleeping. As a musician and DJ, he already understood how important ear protection is—not just for performers but for anyone exposed to loud environments or ongoing noise.
He became a certified Insta-Mold provider and began fitting earplugs for people needing better sleep, safer sound levels, and all-day comfort.
In 2019, he moved back to The Shire to be closer to family and friends. Since then, he’s been helping locals of all ages protect their hearing from noise damage, water exposure, and the early signs of tinnitus.
Certified and Experienced
Darren is fully trained and certified in Otoscopy and Ear Impression Taking by the British Society of Audiology. Your ears are in safe hands.

Each fitting is done by appointment from our residence in Gymea. For group industrial fittings, we can visit your workplace to fit several employees at once. Each set of Custom Fit Earplugs comes with a handy carry pouch you can label with your name and number, and an optional neck cord for easy access and security.
